Paul is a senior solicitor having qualified in 1972. He joined Howard and Over in 1976 and became a partner in 1982. Paul is based at our Ivybridge office and is head of the property department. Over the years Paul has dealt with most areas of legal work but now mainly concentrates on all aspects of property both commercial and residential but is equally at home dealing with wills trusts and probate matters.
Stella joined Howard and Over as a trainee and qualified as a solicitor in 1980. Stella is based at our Devonport office. She became a partner in 1986 and has many years experience in a wide range of legal matters. Stella is head of the litigation department but as well concentrates on wills trusts and probate matters. She also deals with Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters involving the appointment of Deputies where people have lost mental capacity.
Kevin qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and has many years experience of dealing with private client matters. He joined Howard and Over in 2001 and whilst based at our Plymstock office he is responsible for all residential conveyancing at our Devonport Office. Kevin specialises in all aspects of property matters as well as dealing with wills and probate. Kevin's aim is to complete all matters as efficiently as possible whilst always dealing with clients on a personal and professional level.
Helen joined Howard and Over in 1981. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and works in the Property Department as a senior residential conveyancer. Helen specializes in all matters of residential conveyancing and enjoys being able to help both sellers and buyers complete their transactions.
Jo has worked in solicitors practice since 1987 and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2002. She joined Howard and Over in 2007 and works from the Ivybridge Office. Jo deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing and enjoys the challenge of assisting clients to achieve their aims.
Christine is a senior solicitor having qualified in 1985. She joined Howard and Over in 2008 and brings with her many years of experience and a specialism in family work. She has been a member of the Law Society advanced family panel since 1999 and is currently a member of the Resolutions Specialist family law panel with a particular specialism in financial provision and children law. Christine deals with all aspects of private family but has a particular interest in divorce matters and financial provision.
Stephen spent the 10 years working for the Ministry of Defence before choosing a career in the law. He qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and since then has concentrated on family work particularly children matters. Stephen is based at our Devonport office and now deals with all aspects of family law.
Jan spent many years as an executive officer working for the Ministry of Defence before joining Howard and Over in 2004. She commenced her training contract in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Since then she has concentrated on family work dealing with all aspects of family and children work. Jan also deals with employment matters for both employees and employers.
Ruth started her career in the law as a secretary in 1989 but was quickly promoted to client work in the family department of her then firm in 1991. Ruth moved to Plymouth in 2006 and joined the Devonport office of Howard and Over the same year. Ruth continues with her Legal executive studies. She undertakes many aspects of family work but has a special interest in children matters particularly in care matters and public law children work.
Sue joined Howard and Over in 2005 coming from an insurance background where she dealt with personal injury claims. Sue has now taken all of her Legal Executive examinations and is on schedule to qualify in 2009. She continues to deal with personal injury matters for claimants as well as a wide range of other litigation matters. Sue also deals with wills and probate administration.
Malcolm is a senior legal assistant and comes from a background in banking and financial services. He first joined Howard and Over in 1992 as a qualified financial advisor but since 2004 has concentrated on all aspects of Probate administration. Malcolm also deals with Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection administration and tax matters.
Steve qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and is a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Panel. Steve is a consultant with Howard and Over and is also able to deal with many aspects of employment matters both for the employer and the employee.
