Remember 1974-Nixon resigned over Watergate, ABBA won the Eurovision song contest with Waterloo, Germany won the World cup (again) and the Health and Safety at Work Act was passed.
As if legal aid cuts were not enough, last week the government repealed part of the act which allows someone injured at work to rely on a breach of the act as evidence of negligence.
In other words making it harder for injured employees to get compensation. But remember the Government want you to think that we are all in it together (unless you’re poor
of course and access to justice just got even harder!)
