Congratulations to Shirley!

Our Office Manager & Chief Cashier Shirley Gunter has been awarded The Institute of Legal Finance & Management 2013 Wilfred Owen Award for the highest mark in the Fellowship Examination. Here's Shirley in her own words -

"I completed the diploma with the aim to enhance my working knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules. Once I had completed the course it felt natural to continue onto the Associate and the Fellowship levels with the aim of improving not only my accounts knowledge but also general office practice.

When I obtained my fellowship last year , I looked for a new job that would allow me to apply my newly acquired skills, especially in the office management and HR elements.

I'm currently Office Manager and Chief Cashier at Howard & Over in Plymouth.

I have worked in the legal finance profession for nearly 30 years. In addition I have also worked in the commercial sector for a short period, but have always favoured the legal finance profession."
