EXPERT LEGAL ADVICE from normal people

We work hard to resolve your dispute quickly and cost effectively

A dispute can be anything from a neighbour disagreement to taking someone to court who owes you money. When it can’t be resolved by yourself, let us help.

We will help you understand your options providing advice that's in your best interests using our specialist knowledge and agree with you the best strategy to deal with disputes, providing clear practical advice.

Our Approach

A dispute doesn’t always have to end in court, in fact, we prefer to see court as the final option. Litigation is potentially expensive and time consuming, which is why we always consider alternative means of settling disputes such as dispute resolution.

These can include:

  • Mediation
  • Arbitration
  • Round table negotiations

Areas of Law we advise on include:

  • Contested Probates and Wills
  • Professional Negligence
  • Consumer Rights
  • Commercial Contracts
  • Building Contracts
  • Debt Recovery
  • Boundary Disputes
  • Settlement Agreements

Your Questions Answered

What is Litagation?

Litigation is the process of taking a dispute to a court of law.  If parties cannot agree between themselves about the fair and proper outcome of a dispute they will present their respective cases to a court for its judgment. It is a broad term that describes a long and sometimes complex process.

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a process of assisted negotiation, where a person or team jointly instructed and neutral, work with parties together and separately with the aim of helping to reach an agreement to resolve a dispute.

Mediation fosters a collaborative atmosphere, emphasising open communication and understanding. Unlike adversarial methods, it encourages parties to work together to find common ground, preserving relationships that might otherwise be irreparably damaged through litigation.

Lawyers can help parties prepare for mediation, provide advice and representation during the mediation process, and also help resolve fairly if the dispute gets too far.
